PEARLS AND CULTURED PEARLS

• ANALYSIS REPORT

  The Pearl Analysis Report service can be performed on lone pearls, necklaces and strands of stringed pearls. It lists the following information:

  • complete information: mass (grain and carat in the case of a fine pearl, carat only in the case of a cultured pearl), shape, dimensions.
  • type of pearl: fine or cultured, with or without core
  • environment: formed in seawater or freshwater
  • photo of pearl in actual size
  • comment on species and any treatment
  • Non-nacreous pearls (porcelainised) can also be the subject of a pearl analysis report.

  IDENTIFICATION REPORT

  The identification report service for pearls provides the same information as the analysis report, in credit card format. It can only be produced for cultured pearls. It can be produced on lone pearls, necklaces and strands of stringed pearls. It lists the following information:

  • complete information: mass (grain and carat in the case of a fine pearl, carat only in the case of a cultured pearl), shape, dimensions
  • nature of the pearl: fine or cultured
  • environment: formed in seawater or freshwater
  • photo of pearl
  • comment on any treatment
