Diamonds entrusted to the laboratory are measured using a SARIN© instrument capable of determining all proportions, using an integrated camera and rotary platform system.

The silhouette of each diamond is captured eight times during a complete rotation. The data thus collected are processed electronically in order to derive thirty values, several of which will be listed in the report.

This device can also, at the customer’s request, laser mark the girdle with the number of the report accompanying the stone. Depending on the nature (faceted, chipped) and thickness of the girdle, more characters can be added.
